During my search over the past year, I have looked at thousands of websites, dealers, and breeders of minis but I have to say that yours is one of the best I have seen so far. I have been looking for a long time to find a reasonably priced mini with good conformation (not the short and stocky ones which sometimes seems to be more common). Your farm proves to be one that I certainly will frequently visit. Right now I've got my eye on few of your minis including Dent Dazzlin Daisy.

We just learned with much sorrow about the passing of your Dad. We met him last year at one of the events. We own Dainty Darlene, Little Canastas Dam. What a wonderful person he was. Through your great web site I was able to purchase the palamono colt Dents Cotten Jim. I went the following weekend down to see the colt in person and he is beautiful! He is a true dark golden palomino and a love. Johnny and Naomie Dent are a world of knowledge about the minature horses. The mares and babys were supper friendly and so well cared for as well as all of the horses. I have been to many farms but the Dents are to be commended on the consistancy of their breeding program and the wonderful care that they give all of their horses. I have read/looked at every single page of your site. I was drawn by the "Support Veterans" ... I am a retired female AF MSgt who is now 80% disabled and have been thrown 1 too many times lately by my big paints. I have a 7 yr old foster daughter who is too young to be in 4H. I have a beautiful beligum sheppard (black & white) 85 lbs. about the size of some of horses, his name is Thor, i may sent you a picture, and hope you enjoy it, as much as i enjoyed your pictures. I once visited a farm here in N. J., a lady raised Arabians, and also minature horses, she had a black & white pinto named Oreo, and she was asking 25,000, and that was about 10 years ago, so therefore i never looked into minatures horses, thinking they were too expensive, just a few months ago, I received my new computer, and looked up minature horses, and came upon your sight, and was delighted to see such resonable prices and such beautiful horses, it brought tears to my eyes, believe it or not. I think I found my passion, I hope someday I will have a home where I can own one or maybe two of these beautiful minature horses and perhaps find a playmate for Thor, for he is very gentle and playful,even if he does not look it. When I was at that farm in NJ, they also had a palamino, named Julet, just 28inc., and she followed me around like a puppy, and when I went to scatch her head, she would turn around and give her butt, instead, Thor does the same thing. I met my first miniature horse this past weekend, and am totally HOOKED!!! I used to have full size horses when I was a teenager, and regretfully have not had the opportunity since then... I am looking for land close to the current house that I own, and as soon as I find something suitable I will definitely be in the market for a Mini. I'm trying to find out all I can about them -- health issues, care requirements, etc. But am totally smitten with them! We have two dogs that are bigger than they are! (and of course, one miniature dachshund -- at 6 pounds). Your site is wonderful and one of the few I've found that has a large selection anywhere near the east coast -- we are in North Carolina. Wow, this is really one of the nicest and most impressive pages I've seen. My only regret is that I didn't get the oppertunity to meet Mr. Dent. He truely seemed like a remarkable man! I bet he sure had alot of great stories!. It's nice to see a page that has so many horses to pick from and variety of prices, it gives you an idea of the over all quality of your stock, instead of how fancy your place is and how famous your photographer is! I was in to breeding and showing minis on a small scale for 10 years or so,even went to National level, but I got discouraged with what I saw. But even though I no Longer breed or show miniatures,I have had horses most of my life and couldn't bare to live without them so when I sold my little herd of seventeen horses, I kept my favorite three! A wonderful site! All the horses are beautifully presented, and if I had the $$$ and the time and the space, I'd take a dozen! The photos are excellent - clear, focused, good colour, well posed - they show off the horses wonderfully well. And the other "locations" (driving, history, etc.) are great. I LOVE the photo at the top of the site of the dozens of little scapers all galloping towards the camera - it is utterly charming!

This evening I did a search on the local internet paper my brother, Chuck Dent, writes for. I was surprised to see the memorial page for Chuck Dent pop up! My brother was named for my grandfather, Charles Dent. My Dent family came from England and settled in Kansas, most of the Dents were, are wonderful horsemen.
